TEEING UP A BRIGHT FUTURE IN THE AZ DESERT
On January 4, 2024, Golf It Forward board members Debbie Waitkus and Tracy Hupko along with VP of LPGA Properties Scott Wood, launched the Arizona Women’s Golf Advisory Council.
The room was filled with like minded golf and business professionals who are eager to elevate women’s golf in Arizona. The Council plans to meet regularly throughout the year to share ideas and strategize growth initiatives. Opportunities will also be available at multiple prestigious women’s events in 2026, including the LPGA Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass in March 26 - 29, Marilynn Smith Scholarship Pro-Am & Sunday Tea April 26-27, and the Epson Tour Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic April 27 - May 3. The Council will also prioritize initiatives that support the largest LPGA*USGA Girls Golf site in the world and the I GOT THIS Foundation which provides opportunities in golf to people with an intellectual disability.
